Tecumseh Council has authorized using vote by mail as an alternative voting method for the 2006 municipal elections scheduled to take place on November 13, this year.
“Voting by Mail” entails providing a Vote by Mail Kit to every elector in the municipality. The kit consists of a voting instruction sheet, a composite ballot, an inner ballot envelope coded with the Ward, a security slip and an outer return envelope. Chung Oh’s School of Tae Kwon Do, in Tecumseh, is proudly celebrating the accomplishments of its young students who recently competed in the All Canadian Tae Kwon Moo Do Championship. Nine students under the tutelage of Master Instructor Thomas Oh and Junior Instructor Adam Liscio were awarded at the Championships that took place on April 1, 2006, in Kitchener at Conestoga College.

Province recognizes local volunteers |
Ontario honoured 237 volunteers from Windsor-Essex County on April 12, 2006 at the Ontario Volunteer Service Awards reception held at the Caboto Club in Windsor.
The theme “Volunteers Build Communities” celebrated the dedication of about 100,000 volunteers in the province this year, recognizing five, 10, 15, 20, 25, 30, 40 and 50-plus continuous years of service to a single organization. Youth are recognized for two or more years service.

Police Service Board (PSB) member Tom Fuerth has been re-elected chair of the Tecumseh PSB. Doreen Ouellette continues as vice chairperson. Set fixed provincial election date |
