| Hydro outages prompt call for meeting | ||||

Power interruptions, some fleeting, others lasting longer durations, have people calling with complaints to Deputy Mayor Tom Burton. His recommendation to hold an open house in the next month with Essex Power and Hydro One present to provide explanations was approved by Council at their July 27, 2010 regular meeting. Deputy Mayor Burton also recommended that local MPs and PPs be invited to attend “so that they are aware of the concerns of their constituents.” Administration was directed to contact Essex Power services Tecumseh-St. Clair Beach areas) and Hydro One (services former Sandwich South) to arrange a date for the open forum meeting in the coming month.
