• Shooter’s Photography Club Meeting - Wednesday, August 4th from 7:00-9:00 pm at Colasanti’s Tropical Garden’s ( in the Hibiscus Room), 1550 Road 3E, Ruthven. Program - “Member’s Garage Swap and Sell”. Members will be bringing photographic items in for sale as well as having the opportunity to purchase items from other members. • Hamburger Tuesday 11:30am to 1pm and Friday Fish Fry 4:30 to 7pm, at the Knights of Columbus Hall, 152 Lesperance Road.
• Tecumseh Legion Branch 261 (across from St. Anne’s Church) invites everyone to Ladies Auxiliary Hamburger Thursdays from 12-6pm. Friday Fish Dinners from 4-7pm includes Salad Bar and Weekly Specials. Hot dogs and sandwiches available daily. All Welcome. Call 519-735-4454.
• Windsor Police Marine Unit Outreach Program Invites boaters to attend Lakeview Park Marina for a free safety equipment and vessel inspection Saturdays, 10am-12pm on July 31, August 14, August 28, 2010. Bring your boats by water or trailer and upon passing inspection, all vessels will receive Windsor Police Marine Unit Safety Inspection windshield sticker.
• The Children’s Safety Village is pleased to present the Caboto Club Charity Pasta Dinner, held the first Wednesday of every month. All proceeds on August 4, 2010 will go toward continuing programs at the Children’s Safety Village. The event will be held from 4:30-7:30pm. Dinner includes pasta (meat or vegetarian), salad, buns, water and coffee/tea. Tickets are $8.00 for adults, $9.00 for take-out, $7.50 for seniors, and $6.00 for children 5-12 yrs. Bake sale, face painting, crafts, and visits from Sparky, Elmer, Emergency Service Vehicles (as available), and more. Buy tickets in advance by calling 519-945-5500, or purchase tickets at the door.
• Join The Better World Today Association at Parkwood Gospel Temple on Sunday, August 8th between 9:30am and 12:30pm for a Swab Event. Over 800 Canadians are currently waiting for a stranger to donate bone marrow or stem cells to help save their life. You could be the one match! Healthy adults between the ages of 17 and 50 can join the Bone Marrow and Stem Cell Registry. Please bring your health card. There is an urgent need for ethnic minority donors. • The 2nd Annual Art of Eating Food & Wine Festival – On August 20-22 the Tecumseh B.I.A. will host a thrilling exhibition of local restaurants, wineries and entertainers on Tecumseh’s waterfront park.
• Tecumseh Leisure Pool (Lacasse Park) – Free Recreational Swims this summer, every Wednesday from 1pm to 3:30pm. Thanks to Tim Hortons, the Optimist Club of St. Clair Beach, the Knights of Columbus #4375 and the Tecumseh BIA for sponsoring. Be sure to review the Admission and Slide Policy prior to your arrival.
