The free tuition fantasy
What a way to start the year. The first sight that greeted many returning students was that of striking MUNACA workers picketing outside the major entrances to campus. The general strike means that many students are facing reduced services across the university. While the strike will hopefully have only temporary[Read More…]

CD REVIEWS: Final Fantasy: Heartland
Heartland is the third and final studio album from renowned Toronto multi-instrumentalist Final Fantasy. Well, not exactly. The band, or rather project, primarily consisting of Owen Pallet (though percussionist Leon Taheny has received credit as well) is retiring its current name – which is conspicuously shared by a videogame franchise – and opting instead for the moniker “Owen Pallet” from now on.
Campus Conversations: Solidarity
Solidarity beyond interest-convergence Fanta Ly, Features Editor Solidarity is trending at McGill. The “historical anomaly” of the current mobilization lies in the diversity of positionalities standing against power. As a result, the face of those calling for solidarity is diversifying beyond specific student groups to encompass large portions of the[Read More…]
