Comprised of lead singer and guitarist Jeremy Gaudet, drummer Andrew Woods, Isaac Neily on keyboard and Richard MacLeod on bass, Boxer the Horse is a home-grown Canadian band with lots of kick. The boys hail from Charlottetown, where the music is crude and the coastal vibe is real.

POP RHETORIC: Outlive, Outplay, Outlast
Thailand. Guatemala. Panama. Fiji. Micronesia. The list goes on. Any television show filmed in these places is automatically cool in my books. Of course I’m talking about Survivor, the best show on television. The varsity lacrosse Redmen delivered a walloping 12-3 victory over the University of Toronto’s Varsity Blues at Forbes Field Sunday. The Blues started things off quickly, taking early leads. But once the game settled down and the refs eased up on their whistles, McGill was able to control possession and the game.
McGill Name No Longer to be Used by Certain Clubs
Student-run clubs at the university with the word “McGill” in their names have faced increasing difficulties this academic year after fears of liability issues arose within the administration. When the McGill name is used in a club title, the administration has argued, it implies that the university-and not the students who run the club-are providing the service.
Morin-Boucher Nets Hat Trick
Coming off an impressive pre-season (6-1-1), the McGill Martlets’ 5-1 victory Friday over the Sherbrooke Vert et Or showed nothing but promise. The first goal of the match came from veteran striker Alexandra Morin-Boucher in the 10th minute of play. Assisted by a long drive from freshman forward Stephanie Avery, she shot a low strike across to the left corner of the net.
