Tom Fabian – VP Internal: B+

Vice-President Internal Tom Fabian’s accomplishments are worth recognizing. First, Fabian managed to reconcile the interests of the administration and those of students to successfully lay the groundwork for a revamped Orientation Week. He also successfully organized the Students’ Society’s first Homekoming and revived Faculty Olympics. Although attendance at both events[Read More…]

New Canadian university gossip blog launched by UBCer

Whether justified or not, Canada and Canadians have a reputation for their pleasant, kind demeanour. CAMPUS: Frosh gets a fresh new face

Many things probably come to mind when one hears the word ‘Frosh.’ Debauchery, drunken antics on lower field, or perhaps an opportunity to take advantage of unsuspecting freshmen. This year’s SSMU Frosh attempted to change some of the images surrounding Frosh Week and change the focus of the event.

EDITORIAL: The 4Floors conundrum

When an issue is too divisive for our editorial board to reach a consensus on it, we feel that our readers are better served by two competing editorials that look at all sides of the debate.
